All BeesMAX’s unique urban honey bee hotels can accommodate data collection equipment, placed inside the hive, to provide detailed information on bee growth and general health issues.
The data collected from all our hives supports vital data that provides a UK-wide environmental footprint, helping us with our aim of reversing the decline of the honey bee in the UK.
The equipment placed inside a hive costs £150 per hive per year. And urban honey bee hotel owners will have access to a personalised page on our website showing all data collected from your hive(s).
We are deploying IT systems within our rehoming communities so that we can use the statistical information produced along with honey sampling to create a UK wide environmental footprint.
